No More Arguing About the Economy – It’s Official, The Recession is Over?
Well, the Commerce Department has put out a great big Press Release, which basically states, “Retail Sales Surge.” Indeed, it turns out they are up 1.6%, but year-over-year, which is not really a SURGE at all, and certainly not like the military Surge in the Anbar Province in Iraq, or the Afghanistan surge into Marjah? Nevertheless, the positive spin is working its way through all the mass-media sources.
Will the Fed Raise Interest Rates?One of the gauges for the economy and whether it is hurting or not is with the price of gas. With the recent price hikes in gas this is interesting. If you are a believer in the economy recovering with what has been happening that that is fine.
