When the United States of America was found to be suffering from deep economic problems, many analysts commended European companies and their relative strengths in view of emerging global crisis. European companies function in an Anglo-Saxon free market model which is considered to be safe and secure because of over the top government regulations. At the beginning of 2008, most of European financial giants withstood the problems despite USA getting severely affected.

There is no denying that the United States, and now the World, is in a financial crisis of historic proportions. When the United States emerges from this crisis, it will likely not look the same as it did when it entered it. The days of economic superpower status are quickly fading away.
