Indeed, I am quite fearful of socialism because I know what it does to great economies, and how it destroys the confidence in free-market capitalism. I am equally disturbed by the socialists, whether academic or political, who hijacked the flows of capitalism to funnel money to their crony capitalist friends. Further, generally speaking I am against subsidies in most all industries. I believe free-market capitalism can solve the problems a lot faster than trying to do economic engineering or forced capitalism on an intellectual basis.

Many people are watching a slight uptick in our manufacturing here the United States, and although we really haven’t seen a net gain in jobs, at least it’s not as bad as we thought it would be. No, we aren’t out of the woods yet, and things still look pretty bleak especially considering the deficit spending of over $1.3 trillion a year the federal government level – all of the economic stimulus has done some good, but mostly we’ve inflated our Asian neighbors, and helped their economies immensely after the 2008 economic crash.

Not long ago I was talking to a socialist gentleman who defined themselves as an “intellectual socialist” and he reasoned that the best thing to do to have social equality in the United States because it prevented so many problems. Interestingly enough, he was also an entrepreneur and had run a business, enjoyed the free-market, and made quite a bit of money. One could ask; how can an American entrepreneur be against free-market capitalism? Well, he wasn’t necessarily against it, but he felt that socialism was the best way to run a nation.

We have a real troubling situation with China. You see, they have 1.3 billion people, and they would like to employ over half of them. Meanwhile, they have enough capacity and capability if they continue to grow at 10% year-over-year to supply five planets the size of Earth with similar populations with all the products they could ever need. Their production is so overwhelming, and their ability to produce so extraordinary that they are crowding out all the other industrialized nations for manufacturing.

Islam encourages an interest-free economy, which ensures social and economic well-being, equal distribution of wealth and economic justice. Islamic Banking works on the principle of profit and loss sharing and thus prevents the wealth from being concentrated in the hands of a few people.
